Electrified Battery Warranty Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 28/09/2024 Last Updated: 28/09/2024

At Electrified we promise to deliver great e-bike batteries. All our batteries come with a standard 12 month warranty, with the option to extend to 24 months through our battery potting service. Below are the terms and conditions of the warranty.

    1. Warranty Coverage

    1.1 Standard Warranty (12 months)

All batteries purchased from Electrified come with a 12 month limited warranty. This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal use and service. The warranty period starts from the date of purchase and is only available to the original purchaser of the product.

    1.2 Extended Warranty (24 months)

The extended warranty applies when customers choose to add the battery potting service. The potting service adds an extra 12 months to the warranty, so the total warranty period is 24 months from the date of purchase.

Note: The extended warranty is only available with the battery potting service and cannot be purchased separately. This extended warranty is only available to the original purchaser of the battery.

    2. What’s Covered

The following is covered under the Electrified battery warranty:

    • Manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship.

    • Battery capacity drops below 70% of the original rated capacity during the warranty period, assuming normal use and care.

    • BMS (Battery Management System) failure.

    • Cell failure due to internal defects.

    3. What’s Not Covered

The following is not covered by the battery warranty:

    • Damage caused by misuse, neglect or modifications made after purchase.

    • Water damage or moisture related issues if the battery was submerged or exposed to extreme conditions without battery potting.

    • Accidental damage, including but not limited to impacts, crushing or punctures.

    • Normal wear and tear, such as gradual reduction in battery capacity over time due to normal use.

    • Third party modifications or repairs not approved by Electrified.

    • Misuse, including but not limited to:

      • Charging or discharging the battery outside of the recommended voltage and current ranges.

      • Using the battery in non-approved or incompatible systems.

      • Exposing the battery to extreme temperatures.

Note: The warranty is non-transferable and only applies to the original purchaser. Any transfer of ownership voids the warranty.

By choosing the battery potting service you are eligible for an additional 12 months warranty. This service protects your battery from water ingress, physical impacts and vibrations.

    7.2 Potting Coverage

The potting service warranty applies to defects or damage that occur despite the extra protection as long as the battery has been used in normal conditions.

    8. Maintenance and Care

To keep your battery in good condition and warranty eligible follow these:

    • Charge the battery in a dry place.

    • Avoid full discharges whenever possible to prolong battery life.

    • Store the battery at 40-60% charge if not used for a long time.

    • Use the recommended charger for your battery.
