1. Charge and Discharge Best Practices

Avoid Full Discharges: Lithium-ion batteries do not have a "memory effect," so it's best to keep your battery's charge between 20% - 80% for regular use. Deep discharges shorten the lifespan.
Use the Right Charger: Always use the charger provided with your battery, and never exceed the recommended charge current.
Monitor Charging Temperature: Batteries should be charged at room temperature. Avoid charging in extremely hot or cold conditions as this can degrade the battery's cells.

2. Storage Tips

Store Partially Charged: If storing for extended periods, aim to leave the battery at around 50% charge. Do not leave it fully charged or fully discharged.
Ideal Storage Conditions: Store your battery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures. 15°C - 25°C is ideal for long-term storage.
Periodic Checks: For longer storage periods, check the battery every 2-3 months and top it up to 50% if needed.

3. Safe Usage Practices

Avoid Water Exposure: Even though some of our battery enclosures are water-resistant, prolonged exposure to water can damage the internal components.

We now offer battery potting, a process where the internal components of your battery are encased in a protective epoxy resin. This process helps:

Improved Thermal Management: It helps in dissipating heat during charging and discharging, which is critical for the longevity of the cells.
Extended Warranty: Opting for battery potting will automatically extend your battery's warranty by 12 months for a fee of AUD $199.

Cell Longevity: Our premium batteries, particularly those using Molicel P45B cells, have an expected cycle life of over 1,000 charge cycles when properly maintained.
Extended Warranty Option: With our potting service, we offer an additional 12 months of warranty coverage.
Original Purchaser Warranty: Warranty coverage is available only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

Decreased Range: If you're noticing a drop in performance or range, your battery cells may be aging.
Increased Heat: If your battery becomes noticeably hotter during use or charging, it could be a sign of wear.
